On November 18, 2025, Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy technology, announced that its PowePacT™ molded case circuit breaker series had successfully passed UL Solutions’ new ECOLOGO certification program for energy and industrial automation equipment, becoming the first company to receive this certification.
The new ECOLOGO certification for industrial equipment sustainability was developed by UL Solutions, a leader in the field of applied safety science worldwide, and is established based on strict scientific standards. This certification is based on the \"Sustainability Standards for Energy and Industrial Automation Equipment\" (UL 2711), and through third-party evaluation, it helps manufacturers demonstrate their commitment to sustainable development.
The ECOLOGO certification program is a voluntary, multi-criteria, life-cycle-based ecological labeling certification that assesses the impact of products on the environment and human health throughout their entire life cycle. This certification marks the first time that energy and industrial automation equipment can be evaluated under the widely recognized ECOLOGO program.
Previously, the ECOLOGO certification has been widely used in fields such as cleaning products, electronic devices, and personal care products.
