Taking into account the characteristics and requirements of component separation, techniques such as pre-flushing, back-flushing, and the retention or interception of specific components are employed. In addition, post-column derivatization reactions (such as methane converters) are carried out. Depending on the components being analyzed, different detectors are used, which makes such a column system quite complex. As for placing these columns and tubing valves inside the chromatography column box, as long as it does not affect the analysis results, it doesn’t matter if things look a bit messy; what the user needs are the analysis results, not an orderly arrangement.
