There is a pressure gauge above the storage tank; the medium inside the tube is a viscous liquid. So, is the pressure being measured in this case that of a gas? If it is a gas, the issue of viscosity needs to be taken into account; should a flanged pressure gauge be used?
You need to take into account temperature, whether the liquid will vaporize, and whether the gas will crystallize – there are many factors to consider
What is measured is the vapor pressure; if the medium has a high temperature and does not volatilize, a regular pressure gauge equipped with a condensation elbow can be used. The medium is prone to volatile crystallization; a diaphragm pressure gauge should be used.
Although the pressure gauge does not come into contact with the liquid, the physical properties of the liquid (such as volatility and corrosiveness) should be taken into consideration. Consider factors such as whether to include a condenser tube and a diaphragm device when making the choice.
