Under normal circumstances, in systems controlled by DCS, there is no need to provide separate start/stop buttons for the frequency converter. Operators can use the DCS system to control the start/stop operation and make adjustments to the frequency converter. Furthermore, in some special situations, such as emergency shutdowns or manual operations, the start and stop control of the frequency converter can be achieved using the emergency shutdown button or manual control button on the device. .
Motors that can be operated remotely normally also have local operation options; this actually depends on the specific process requirements. Some can only be started on-site, some can only be stopped on-site, and there are those that require both starting and stopping on-site.
Variable frequency drives that are not frequently switched to local control do not require a separate setting
