I haven’t been working in the field of instruments for very long; currently, my role is in sales for this industry. The company’s main products are radar level gauges. In my work, I often encounter customers asking about the advantages of our products. In my opinion, domestic radar devices were developed relatively late, and their technology is merely a copy of foreign ones – there have been no significant advancements. But in terms of cost, it is already very cheap compared to imported ones, and there are no major issues using liquid under most operating conditions. Which brand is more professional in this field? I would be very grateful if you could analyze for me the current development status of domestic radar level gauges, their market share at present, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of various brands
Firstly, regarding the current development status of domestic radar level gauges, it is indeed as you said – the technology behind such gauges started developing late in China. However, with the country placing emphasis on technological innovation, there has been rapid progress in this field in recent years, and the technology has improved significantly, especially in terms of microwave radar technology and digital technology, where certain breakthroughs have been achieved. In terms of market share, domestic radar level gauges are gaining ground as their prices are more affordable compared to foreign products, and maintenance services are also more convenient. As for the advantages and disadvantages of products from different countries, let me give a few examples: 1. Siemens: Siemens’ radar level gauges feature mature technology, high precision, and stable performance, but they are relatively expensive and suitable for applications where high precision is required. 2. Endress+Hauser (E+H): This company is also a veteran manufacturer of radar level gauges, offering reliable product quality and advanced technology. For example, the FMR20, FMR50, and FMR56 series offer a new price/performance ratio. 3. Yatu Technology: This is a relatively well-known brand of radar level gauges in China. Its products are primarily targeted at the domestic market, and its advantages lie in low prices, timely after-sales service, as well as effective solutions for certain special operating conditions. However, there is still a gap compared to foreign brands in terms of technical capabilities and precision. In general, when choosing a radar level gauge, in addition to factors such as price, accuracy, and stability, it is also necessary to make the selection based on one’s own operational requirements. For example, if high precision is required and the budget is sufficient, Siemens or E+H can be chosen; if the budget is limited, domestic brands such as Yatu can be considered. .
Among imported brands, E+H and VEGA are the top choices; MAGNETROL from Magna is also good. I haven’t used any domestic brands.
