The employees precisely attached the temperature and vibration sensors to inspection points 1 and 2 of the flue gas extractor in the heavy oil catalytic unit, following the instructions. Within 10 minutes, the inspection data of the equipment, such as its tag number, temperature, and vibration level, were displayed one by one on the test cloud platform terminal, and all data was collected successfully. Di Jian, head of the Information R&D Center at Fushun Petrochemical Construction Company, said, “Over the past two years, in light of the current development trends in the petrochemical industry, we have focused on applying Internet of Things technology to upgrade the existing intelligent inspection systems, enabling the new generation of such systems to have more powerful data collection and analysis capabilities.” ” It is understood that during the system upgrades and iterations, the project team carried out multiple upgrades to the system, including additions for inspection purposes, personnel positioning, data transmission, and data storage. **These upgrades enhanced the system’s ability to conduct comprehensive analysis and decision-making; they ensured that inspection data was more timely, accurate, and reliable.
