What types of flow meters are included in flanged flow meters? Is a standard orifice plate nozzle a flanged flow meter? Are there any others?
I’ve never heard of a flow meter like the one you mentioned – a flange-mounted flow meter. What criteria are used to name it? Installation type? Flowmeters are all named according to their principle
The flanged flow meter you are referring to is probably a flow meter that is installed on process pipelines, similar to control valves, but it is connected using flanges rather than welding. There is also a flange-connected version, such as plug-in (Bar-type) flowmeters, which are available in flange-connected form as well.
Under this software, is there a flange orifice flow meter? Scope of application
That is just the method of installation; there are flange-mounted types, welded types, and insert-type types. But the latter ones are the original ones, such as standard components like orifice plates, nozzles, and Venturi tubes
I was attracted by your title and wanted to see what a flange flow meter is… You must be referring to the second point in the description: Is this program only applicable to flange-type pressure tapping orifice plates? It’s just a standard orifice plate for flange-based pressure measurement... There are also standard orifice plates for corner connection, annular chamber, and radial distance pressure measurement. Throttling devices that use flange-based pressure measurement include standard nozzles (corner connection pressure measurement also involves drilling holes in the flange; it can be considered part of flange-based pressure measurement as well, though the algorithm for determining the hole locations is different), as well as balanced orifice plates. By the flanged flow meter you mentioned, I understand it refers to the pressure measurement method that involves taking readings at the flange. If it’s a flow meter with flange connections, then there are more……
What was said upstairs is correct; it’s just a method of taking pressure readings for measuring differential pressure using a orifice flow meter. It’s not a flange flow meter – there is no such term.
