The new device has just started operating; dear teachers, these thermal resistors of mine have been experiencing the same problem in recent days. At a very close distance, two thermometers show 295 ℃ and 300 ℃ respectively; by swapping the positions of the two instruments, it can be determined that the thermometer showing 295 ℃ is giving a lower reading. The process temperature is 300 ℃; can the thermoresistor + temperature sensor operate for a long time? Today, the temperature dropped by 20 ℃ in an instant. Could it be a quality issue with the instrument? If a thermocouple is used, which one should be chosen for the highest accuracy?
Thermistors can be used up to 450 degrees Celsius.
I changed to another one today, and it’s showing properly now. It seems there’s a quality issue with this instrument; it has only been in use for 15 days.
Below 1000℃, K-type and N-type thermocouples are generally used, while below 400℃, E-type thermocouples are typically used. It seems that the accuracy of thermocouples is not as good as that of thermal resistors: lol
The neck of this thermal resistor seems a bit short; I wonder if there is any temperature inside once the cover is opened It’s fine to measure this temperature using thermal resistance; the key point is that if the temperature inside the junction box is high, there’s no need for an integrated temperature sensor – it’s sufficient to install the temperature sensor in the cabinet room. (The cable should be three-core.)

The temperature of the temperature transmission module is too high; it can be used for a short period of time, but faults will occur frequently if used for an extended duration!
After you swap the positions of the temperatures, does the display remain the same? I’m facing the same issue here: the temperatures of two thermocouples at the same monitoring point differ by 8 degrees. Even after replacing those abnormal thermocouples with new ones, the temperature difference remained at 8 degrees. It was later determined that the problem was scaling inside the casing; adding some water to the casing resolved the issue.
The temperature transmitter module cannot withstand such high temperatures; it is better to choose a separate type that is installed and fixed separately from the thermal resistor.
