When the control and safety interlock systems of the BPCS are both controlled by the same process variable, control valves should not be shared. Should this sentence be understood as: each of DCS and SIS uses its own sensing element to control the shut-off valve, so they cannot share one another; or is there a variable common to both DCS and SIS that controls the shut-off valve, and it’s not possible to use just one shut-off valve? ? , Please ask an expert~~~
Valves should not be shared; the monitoring variable can be one, and generally a signal is sent to the SIS cabinet, while the safety barrier sends signals to the DCS.
