I have a question for the experts: Is the interlock between the secondary alarm for flammable and toxic gases and the fan implemented directly in the GDS or in the DCS? Is it true that the start/stop signals for the fans are sent to the GDS, while the operation and fault signals are sent to the DCS? Are there any issues with the control points for interlocking the fans as shown in the diagram below? Does the GDS startup fan require the cable shown in the second diagram?
