Artificial intelligence technologies, exemplified by such large-scale models, will undoubtedly become a key factor in the digital transformation of the manufacturing sector. This large-scale petrochemical and chemical model represents the first application of AI technology in the industrial sector, and it will help companies achieve significant improvements in terms of safety, environmental protection, low carbon emissions, and efficiency. Based on data, this large model can make the most of data mining capabilities, enabling many problems that were previously difficult to solve in the industrial sector to be addressed through AI technology. It is reported that the Zhongkong Petrochemical Chemical Large Model, acting as the \"brain for plant operation,\" has already seen several breakthrough applications in industries such as chlor-alkali, thermal power, and petrochemicals. It addresses issues related to complex control, operational optimization, and early anomaly detection, and will play a key role in helping petrochemical enterprises build fully autonomous smart factories that can achieve their core strategic objectives. According to the Information and Digitalization Center of Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Co., the Sinocontrol Petrochemical big model has been applied innovatively in Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Co. in two ways: first, through modeled process optimization, it helps achieve energy savings, improved product quality, and enhanced efficiency; second, through equipment early warning and prediction, it contributes to intrinsic safety and improves the level of long-term operation. Leveraging the Sinopec Chemical Industry large model, Zhenhai Refining & Chemical’s anomaly early warning and fault diagnosis systems enable the identification and diagnostic analysis of equipment abnormalities, the automatic generation of diagnostic reports, and reduce reliance on expert experience; the accuracy of early anomaly warnings exceeds 95%. Wanhua Chemical (Ningbo) Chlor-Alkali Co., Ltd. states that the digital transformation efforts in its chlor-alkali production operations in Ningbo are focused on three main objectives: intelligent analysis, intelligent control, and intelligent decision-making. By leveraging the capabilities of large-scale modeling systems for petrochemical processes, it is possible to enhance the ability to identify and address risks associated with the production facilities, reduce losses related to equipment availability, predict the lifespan of ion exchange membranes and determine the optimal timing for replacement, achieve precise prediction of alkali concentration at 32%, optimize quality control, improve the allocation of load across electrolyzers, and implement intelligent control of wastewater pH levels.
