Does your facility have a separate alarm system for toxic and hazardous gases, or is an independent controller built into the DCS? What is the reason for doing this?

GBT50493-2019, \"Design Code for Detection and Alarm Systems of Flammable and Toxic Gases in Petrochemical Industries\", Article 5.4.1: The alarm control unit shall be an independently installed microprocessor-based electronic device. Judging from this requirement, it should be independent.
Set it separately; do not use it together with DCS. There may be a scenario in which devices located far from the control center communicate with the alarm controller via the DCS, and the alarms are then displayed on the DCS operation station at the control center.
In accordance with relevant regulations, it is set up separately
Old units are all within the DCS system, while new units have independent GDS systems; it is specified in GB50493 that a separate control system should be established.
