The so-called adjustment involves manually feeding the signal source to the AI and DI at the site, or using a multimeter to measure the output signals of the AO and DO circuits on-site. This type of test seems to have a simple principle, but there is one issue that cannot be ignored: whether the I/O channel is used to send signals or to detect them, the system side needs to perform operations using CM in PKS. For I/O channels that are already in use, testing can be carried out on the relevant CM ; For unused I/O channels, if they are to be tested, a CM must first be created, and these channels must be added to the CM one by one. There are quite a number of empty channels. The tasks mentioned above don’t seem very difficult, but they are time-consuming and labor-intensive.
Open BCT, select Test IO Channel Blocks, which is the third option in the Bulk Build Tools section, to access the main interface of this function.
Fetch Strategies: Used to preload the existing IO card configurations from ERDB into the program in advance, to prepare for subsequent operations. Select Strategies: Choose the IO cards that need to be tested. Select Spare Channels: Choose the empty channels that need to be tested. Save Data Worksheet: Generates a table of channel test points. Edit Data Worksheet: Edit and save the information in the channel test point table. Process Data Worksheet: Writes the point table information to an ERDB or XML file to generate test points.
Focus on the Project window and set the channel type for all blank channels involved in the channel testing (Note! The default value for the blank channel is SPARE; the channel type must be set first before channel test points can be generated properly.
Return to the main functional interface, click Fetch Strategies, select all the IO cards that need to be tested in Project, click Show Selections to confirm the names of the cards in the table, and then click Read to preload the configuration information for all the cards, preparing them for the subsequent steps.
Click Next to proceed to the next step, Select Strategies, and check the relevant components for generating channel test points in this batch.
Click Next to proceed to the next step, Select Spare Channels, and verify the list of all empty channels in the relevant cards that will be used in this test.
Click Next to proceed to the next step, Save Data Worksheet; then click the Save button in the lower right corner to generate the IO channel test point table.
Click Next to proceed to the next step, Edit Data Worksheet, then click Invoke Excel to Edit.
Open the test point table, edit and save the test point and channel block information (no edits are also required for this table).
Click Next to proceed to the final step, Process Data Worksheet. First, click Validate to check and compile the test point table for any errors. If errors are displayed, all of them need to be corrected ; If there are no errors, the test point information in the table can be written to XML or ERDB.
