Today, HiaGuard MAX, the first domestically developed dual-safety integrated SIS system in China created by Hollyland, received the SIL3 functional safety certification issued by the Comprehensive Technical and Economic Research Institute for Instruments and Meters in the machinery industry. This not only serves as an authoritative validation of the system’s performance in terms of security, reliability, and availability, but it also marks a crucial breakthrough for HaliTech in achieving autonomy and control in the field of industrial control. It has successfully overcome the challenges posed by bottlenecks in the supply chain, thereby providing a solid safeguard for safe industrial production in our country.
Based on various requirements such as the functional safety standards GB/T 20438/IEC 61508 and the product’s own quality specifications, the HiaGuard MAX high-availability security control system successfully passed the rigorous functional safety assessments conducted by the Institute of Instrumentation. Each individual module met the SIL3 functional safety requirements, thereby demonstrating the system’s strong capabilities in the field of security protection.
The safety instrumented system serves as a \"safety barrier\" in industrial production, especially in key energy sectors such as petrochemicals and chemicals; such complex operational environments impose even stricter requirements on the functional safety of these systems. Based on fully domestic production, the HiaGuard MAX high-availability security control system, thanks to its advanced functional safety architecture, achieves a high diagnostic coverage rate and provides high availability through redundancy and fault tolerance. It can play a reliable role in complex industrial sectors such as petrochemicals and chemicals, breaking the foreign monopoly in the field of high-end industrial control systems and further ensuring the safety and stability of key industrial supply chains.
HiaGuard is a Safety Instrumented System (SIS) developed by Hikvision Group for industrial automation safety applications. The system is certified by TÜV Rheinland Industrie Service GmbH and meets the SC3 system capability level and SIL3 safety integrity level defined in IEC61508/IEC61511. In accordance with the requirements of IEC61508/IEC61511/IEC50156-1, the HiaGuard system can be applied to safety-related applications that require a safety integrity level of SIL3 or lower.
A safety instrumented system is an integrated whole composed of its own software and hardware, as well as the operation platform and field instruments (transmitters, measuring instruments, cables, actuators, etc.). Any problem in any part of the system can cause some of its functions to fail or lead to failures in the control system, and may even result in accidents such as production shutdowns.
The HiaGuard system adopts a 2oo3D architecture. Its applicable applications include Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD), Fire and Gas Monitoring Systems (FGS), Burner Management Systems (BMS), Emergency Trip Systems (ETS), process shutdown systems, and critical process control.
HiaGuard’s computer system consists of an engineer station, an operator station, a system history station, a communication controller, and a network; it is a system designed to implement one or more security functions, ensuring that the device or individual unit possesses a certain level of safety. The various I/O modules and control modules within each acquisition station are connected to each other via a control network for communication, while the control stations, communication modules, historical data stations, operator stations, and engineer stations are connected through a system network, thus forming the entire computer security system.
The engineer station is designed for professional engineering and technical personnel, equipped with the appropriate configuration platform and system maintenance tools. Application systems suitable for the requirements of production processes are generated through a system configuration platform; its specific functions include system generation, database structure definition, configuration operations, flowchart design, and report program development. The system’s maintenance tool software is used to carry out process control network debugging, fault diagnosis, signal calibration, and more.
The operator station is a human-machine system composed of industrial PCs, keyboards, mice, printers, etc., and it serves as the environment in which operators carry out tasks related to process control and monitoring.
The control station is the I/O processing unit in the system that directly interacts with field signals, enabling real-time monitoring of the entire industrial process; it can be configured in a redundant manner.
The process control network establishes connections between the engineer station, operator station, and control station, enabling the transmission of information and control commands, and features a dual-redundancy design.
