Author/Source: China Chemical Industry News Date: 01-06-2017 Clicks: 67 It was recently reported that the Phase I Aerospace Furnace, designed and manufactured by Changzheng Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd., has operated continuously for 320 days, thus establishing a new world record for the continuous operation time (Class A) of gas-flow bed gasification technology. Following the world record set in 2012 when the space furnace operated continuously for 215 days, this is the second time the space furnace has broken this record, with an increase of 105 days this time! The Haoyuan Phase I project is a reform project for the ammonia synthesis feedstock route of Anhui Haoyuan Chemical Group Co., Ltd. It utilizes one (Φ2800×3200 type) aerospace powder gasifier, and operations began in March 2013. It is understood that the operating time of the gasification unit directly determines the economic viability of the project; any downtime results in economic losses of hundreds of thousands or even millions for the owners per day. The space furnace powder gasification unit developed by the company, thanks to its internationally leading technology featuring wide compatibility with various coal types, high conversion efficiency, low investment requirements, high operational efficiency, low maintenance needs, and zero inventory levels, helps owners avoid such concerns. The 33 gasification units of the 20 projects currently designed and put into operation by the company are all functioning well; the operational rate of these units as well as the continuous operating time per gasifier have increased significantly compared to 2015.
It’s truly admirable; the situation is indeed worth respect. This enterprise has been in operation for not long, and it was previously part of Jinmei Zhongneng*. The fact that it has now managed to break operational records is something worth praising.
I believe that regardless of the type of vaporization process, the priority should be stable and efficient operation; prolonged operation is not recommended (although the operating time can be increased gradually). It’s best to follow a planned schedule for regular maintenance, as this is the safest and most efficient approach.
