According to Hengkun Chemical, on April 14, 2026, the company held a design coordination meeting on the \"three inspections and four determinations\" approach with MCC Jiaonai Dalian Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., to clarify the tasks related to these inspections and determinations. This meeting aimed to establish a working mechanism in which the company’s own professionals are responsible for conducting the inspections, while MCC Jiaonai’s expert team handles the corrective actions. According to a report on the Ordos government website in April, the main structure of the coking unit for the second-phase project of Hengkun Chemical Co., Ltd. has been essentially completed, with furnace drying work scheduled to begin in September this year ； The LNG project is accelerating the progress of civil construction, with completion and operation expected by December. Both units of the entire Phase 2 project are expected to be fully built and put into operation by December this year. The first phase of Inner Mongolia Hengkun Chemical Co., Ltd.’s project for producing 2.6 million tons of compacted coke per year, as well as for its comprehensive utilization, includes an LNG facility to support the production of 1.3 million tons of compacted coke per year. The LNG capacity is 165.5 million m3 per year. LNG production facilities mainly include compression, purification (pre-treatment, pre-purification TSA, MDEA decarburization, deep desulfurization), synthesis, and liquefaction (purification, compressors, and cryogenic tanks).
