Issues with bridge tube lining bricks?

Today I saw the repair worker laying bricks for the lining inside the bridge tube; I noticed that there were special-shaped bricks at the lower part of the vertical section of the bridge tube and at the elbow joint, but no such bricks were present in the upper part. The hot repair worker knocked off a piece that gave off a foul smell. It seems that there should be special-shaped bricks for this area; I’m seeking advice from those who know more.
It’s better to use special-shaped bricks as well; the hot repair worker can break off a piece for use, as the pipes might break due to vibrations in the future.
It should be built using special-shaped bricks, or it can also be compacted with refractory castables
Is there a corresponding the opposite sex brick? What is the brick number?
