Who knows how to use a filtered gas mask  

Checks to be performed before using a gas mask: 1. Before use, check whether the mask has any cracks or breaks, and ensure that it fits tightly against the face; 2. Check whether the exhalation valve is deformed, cracked, or damaged; 3. Check whether the head straps are elastic; 4. Check whether the sealing ring of the filter cartridge holder is intact; 5. Verify that the filter cartridge is still within its useful life. Instructions for wearing a gas mask: 1. Cover your mouth and nose with the mask, then pull the head strap frame over your head; 2. Use both hands to pull the lower head straps behind your neck and fasten them; 3. For masks that have been dried, carefully check the connections as well as the tightness of the exhalation and inhalation valves, and place the mask in a clean area for future use; 4. Do not use organic solvent cleaners when cleaning the mask, as this will reduce its effectiveness. 3 Test for the fit of a gas mask: Test method 1: Cover the exhalation valve with the palm and exhale slowly. If pressure is felt on the face but no air leakage is detected between the face and the mask, it indicates good fit; if there is leakage between the face and the mask, the head straps and the mask need to be adjusted again to eliminate the leakage. Test Method 2: Cover the connection port of the filter box holder with the palm and inhale slowly; if breathing becomes difficult, it indicates that the mask has good airtightness. If you feel that air is being drawn in, you need to readjust the position of the mask and adjust the tightness of the headband to eliminate air leaks. Redo the process by using Method 1 or Method 2 to conduct a fit test until the fit quality is satisfactory.

A lot has been said, but practical operation is lacking: check the integrity and airtightness, verify whether the date on the gas filter canister has expired, and shake the canister to see if there’s a rustling sound (if there’s no such sound, it means the filter is hardened and needs to be replaced). Remember to remove the plug at the bottom of the gas filter canister before wearing it, otherwise you might die not from poison but from suffocation.

Remember, this should only be used for escaping; it is not recommended for rescue purposes
