Our plant uses the HPF ammonia-based desulfurization method; sometimes, after treatment during the day shift, the hydrogen sulfide level in the gas is around 0.035–0.05, while it rises to around 0.5 during the night shift. Night shifts range from 0.18 to 0.3. Sometimes, each class is normally around 0.02. What’s going on? There is no significant fluctuation in the gas volume. Regeneration and separation are normal, as is sulfur melting. Also, we never add ammonia vapor or ammonia water to our reaction tanks. The by-product salt level around 150-280 is also stable
The amount of gas used actually changes; more gas is used during night shifts, while during day shifts and middle shifts, when the temperature is higher, the amount of gas used is lower than it should be

There may be a large temperature difference between the day shift and the night shift due to changes in atmospheric temperature; If the gas volume indeed remains relatively constant, it is necessary to check whether there are changes in gas temperature, as well as whether the generation of sulfur foam and the amount of material processed are balanced; additionally, it is important to ensure that the amount of catalyst added and the time intervals between additions are consistent and stable ; Whether the compressed air pressure fluctuates, whether drainage is functioning properly, and so on.
The fluctuation is way too large; under normal conditions, 50 mg/m3 should have fluctuations of no more than 20 percent
So I’m completely puzzled – today it was 0.59 for the day shift and 0.035 for the middle shift
The air is stable, the pressure is stable, and the catalyst concentration test results are also stable
