May I ask how long the service life of water-coal slurry and pulverized coal burners is now?
Maintenance is required every 90 days or so, for water-coal slurry gasification
This is related to pressure; 4.0 MPa and 8.5 MPa cannot be compared. Our 6.5 MPa water-coal slurry can be used for up to 105 days.
I know that for SHELL coal dust, it’s over 150 days.
There are many factors that affect the service life of burners, mainly depending on the quality of the coal slurry, the skill level of the operators, and the management level of the factory. Of course, this is on the assumption that the burner itself is of good quality. Typically, factories use a fixed operating cycle (either 60 days or 90 days) to replace the burners, without deliberately aiming for a specific number of days of operation. This is done to avoid certain operational risks. After operating for a period of time, the burner will gradually experience a decrease in pressure difference and a deterioration in its atomization performance. As a result, the quality of the useful gas components declines, the amount of ash and carbon residue increases, the solid content in the water system rises, and the turbidity of the wastewater increases – all of which are related to these issues.
At 4.0 MPa, it generally lasts around 120 days; at 6.5 MPa, it usually lasts around 90 days; at 8.5 MPa, it typically lasts around 60 days. When the pressure exceeds these levels, the external epoxy nozzle needs to be replaced during maintenance.
