The Jinhang Furnace industrial demonstration unit passed the safety and reliability assessment. According to a report from Xi’an Aerospace Yuanpower Engineering Company dated October 10, 2020, the Jinhang Furnace recently succeeded in passing the first domestic assessment meeting on the safety and reliability of chemical process applications, which was organized by the Shanxi Provincial Emergency Management Department. The Emergency Management Department of Shanxi Province, the Emergency Management Bureaus of Yuncheng City and Wenxi County, members of the Shanxi Coal Chemical Industry Expert Group, leaders of Jinmei Group and its regional companies, as well as relevant personnel attended this meeting. The Jinhang Furnace project team from Xi’an Aerospace Power Company provided a detailed discussion on aspects such as the technology, processes, and safety reliability of the Jinhang Furnace. After thorough discussion and review, the experts present reached a consensus: the Jinhang furnace has, in accordance with **relevant requirements and industry standards, fully verified the safety and reliability of the liquid slag discharge technology and the associated process packages for coal with high ash content and high melting points, through pilot tests, scale-up tests, and industrial-scale trials. Furthermore, through simulation studies as well as HAZOP and SIL analyses, it was confirmed that this technology is safe and reliable, and thus it passed the evaluation. “The \"Jinhang Furnace\" was jointly developed by Jinmei Group and Xi’an Yuandongli; it is a gasification process designed for use with anthracite coal from Jincheng, resulting from research on the pressurized slag gasification technique for coal fragments. The Jinhang furnace pilot plant was successfully commissioned in January 2020.
