How does the End furnace work?

The Ende furnace belongs to the fluidized bed type; it operates at atmospheric pressure. The furnace temperature is controlled at the softening temperature of the coal, in order to prevent scorching at high temperatures. There is a bed layer that remains in a fluidized state. It is a coal powder gasifier.
Is the coal grinding process the same as that in Shell’s and Aerospace’s coal grinding units?
