On November 7, the mid-term review meeting for the key research and development project \"Research, Development, and Demonstration of Ultra-supercritical Circulating Fluidized Bed Boilers\" was successfully held. The office in charge of the special program on \"Clean and Efficient Utilization of Coal and New Energy-Saving Technologies\" at the High-Tech Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology organized experts to conduct a mid-term assessment of the project \"Research, Development, and Demonstration of Ultra-supercritical Circulating Fluidized Bed Boilers\", which is led by Guoshen Group. **Ling Wen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and General Manager of the Energy Group, served as the project leader and presented the interim project implementation report as well as the progress made in advancing the demonstration project. The expert group reviewed the materials from the project’s mid-term assessment, raised questions and held discussions on the project’s key technologies, and unanimously agreed that the project’s organization and management, operational mechanisms, and use of funds were reasonable, that coordination among the various tasks was good, and that the project had met the mid-term evaluation criteria. Based on the results of the mid-project inspection, it is expected that the project will achieve its objectives and assessment criteria. To date, the project has initially established a key technology framework for ultra-supercritical circulating fluidized bed boilers, a technology system for ultra-low emissions within the boiler, as well as technologies for ultra-low energy consumption. Three technical plans for 660MW ultra-supercritical circulating fluidized bed boilers have been developed. A total of 148 papers have been published (78 of which are indexed in SCI and EI), 86 patents have been applied for (60 of them are invention patents), and 7 software copyrights have been filed, thereby exceeding the performance targets set out in the project plan.

I know a bit about circulating fluidized bed boilers. Is ultra-supercritical pressure characterized by high steam pressure? Ultra-low emissions?
