May I ask, in coal-based ethylene glycol production, where does CO2 in the coupling cycle gas originate? What is the impact of CO2 on the system?
One has only a superficial understanding of the ethylene glycol production process; it seems to result from the reaction between carbon monoxide and methanol. The high concentration of the products is unfavorable for the chemical equilibrium of the forward reaction
