At the beginning of the new year, the coal slurry concentration in the gasification unit of Shaanxi Chemical Company’s ammonia synthesis system once again set a new record, reaching 63.9% at its highest point, with an average concentration of 63.8%. The synthetic ammonia system of Shaanxi Chemical Industry Company is based on clean coal gasification for production; raw coal accounts for over 60% of the total inputs. Coal slurry preparation, being a key stage in the consumption of raw coal, is of paramount importance for the company’s efforts to save energy and reduce consumption. To meet production demands and prepare high-concentration coal slurry, the company’s production department provided strong technical support. The gasification plant organized technical experts to hold several meetings dedicated to discussing ways of increasing the concentration of the coal slurry, and formulated implementation plans to address these technical challenges. Through measures such as optimizing the grading of grinding media, adjusting the ratio of raw coal used, and upgrading the grinding mills, the concentration of the coal slurry has been continuously improved. As of January 4, 2022, the average concentration of gasified coal slurry reached 63.8%, an increase of 1% compared to the annual average of 62.8% in 2021, setting a new historical high and laying a solid foundation for the company to achieve its goals of increasing production while reducing consumption in 2022.
