According to reports from Sinochem News Network, on May 9, Henan Jindadi Chemical Co., Ltd. announced that on May 8, the two Jinhua furnace units in its newly built ammonia synthesis plant were able to produce over 1,800 tons of ammonia per day, achieving 100% of their planned production capacity. The company states that the two Jinhua furnace 3.0 models generate 145 tons per hour of high-pressure steam at 7.0 MPa as a by-product of the gasification process; the steam produced per ton of ammonia is over 1.94 tons. The entire plant produces approximately 4.6 tons of steam per ton of ammonia, with an electricity consumption of 240 kWh per ton of ammonia, demonstrating significant energy-saving effects. This marks the successful industrial application of the world’s first large-scale water-cooled wall direct-connected waste boiler gasification technology with a pressure of 6.5 MPa and a daily coal feeding capacity of 1,500 tons (Jinhua Furnace 3.0). Li Jianxin, an expert in coal chemical engineering and the person in charge of the Jindadi ammonia synthesis project, told reporters that the full utilization of waste heat and wastewater has always been a goal pursued in the development of coal gasification in China. The large-scale Jinhua furnace generates 1.63 tons of steam for every 3 tons of ammonia produced, which helps to process a large amount of industrial wastewater. This not only brings significant economic, environmental, and ecological benefits to Jindadi, but also provides an innovative and effective technology that contributes to the upgrading of traditional industries and the development of modern coal chemical industry in China.
