How to quickly dehydrate coal tar with high water content? What equipment is needed?
I remember that in the past, to dehydrate crude oil, we would add surfactants (like those used for washing clothes), then let it sit, and finally drain the liquid. I’m not sure how coal tar is processed

Using a demulsifier will do; coal tar tends to emulsify during long-term operation.

Maintain the temperature at 80°C and let it stand for 48 hours to allow natural stratification; if there is a water-in-oil situation or emulsification issues, an appropriate amount of demulsifier can be added.
