Huiyuan Gas plans to invest 2,983,088,800 yuan in a renovation and expansion project at its existing facility located in the Loudi High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Doulishan Town, Lianyuan City. This involves demolishing the company’s current two 4.3-meter coke ovens along with their associated facilities, and constructing two new 65-chamber coke ovens with a diameter of 6.78 meters, along with the necessary supporting facilities. The main construction elements include new coal preparation facilities, 2×65-hole 6.78m ramming coke ovens for coke production, coke treatment facilities, dry quenching coke facilities and emergency wet quenching systems, gas purification facilities, as well as production auxiliary facilities such as water supply and drainage systems and dust removal systems, along with environmental protection facilities to support these production facilities ； The 2 gas turbines (WJ6G1 type, 2000 kW) of the existing plant are used as a backup for gas regulation ； Among them, the wet quenching device for coking is used only during failures or maintenance of the evaporation and crystallization unit in the phenol-cyanide wastewater treatment plant ； The retained gas turbines are intended for use only when the comprehensive utilization of gas is not feasible. Once the project is completed and reaches full capacity, it will produce around 1.8 million tons of coke per year, as well as approximately 858 million cubic meters of coke oven gas. By-products such as tar, crude benzene, and ammonium sulfate will also be generated. The purified gas will be supplied to the Hunan Titanium Materials Industrial Park as an auxiliary energy source. It was recently learned that the project is currently in the stage of detailed design, with funding being secured; construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026 and be completed by the fourth quarter of the same year.
