In the pulverized coal gasification process, why are rupture disks installed on the filter bags of the coal grinding system, while no rupture disks are used for the coal conveying filter bags?
The dust concentration in the coal grinding system should be much higher than that in the coal conveying system, right?
For the safety of the mill, it is not allowed for the coal powder produced by the mill to get blocked in the pipes
A rupture disc is installed on the filter to allow pressure release in the event of a coal dust explosion; the coal transfer filter bags are flexible and therefore cannot accommodate a rupture disc
The filter bag filters in the coal grinding system are part of a closed system; a large amount of dust is generated during production, which increases the risk of dust explosions. In the event of an explosion, pressure is released through rupture disks to reduce the potential hazards. It is difficult for coal transfer filter bags to reach the concentration required for a dust explosion, so rupture discs are not necessary.
