I would like to ask all the technicians: our company has been experiencing instability in the desulfurization process recently; it’s difficult to melt sulfur in the sulfur melting tank, and the liquid resulting from this process is not clear. However, considering environmental protection factors, it’s not possible to prevent the formation of sulfur foam. As a result, the workshop uses sewage trucks to transport the foam to sedimentation tanks where it settles, after which the clear liquid is brought back into the system. Over time, problems arise: what should be done with the accumulated sulfur foam? Do the experienced workers have any good tips? I’m in a hurry. . . . . .
The gas purification is not good! What is the quality of the steam? The sulfur slag should also be melted!
After regeneration, the solution is pressurized by a sulfur foam pump and passed through a filter to form sulfur paste blocks, which are then melted. The desulfurization solution becomes very clear in this way.
Is there a filter press that specifically uses sulfur-pressing foam? We used one such filter press, but its performance wasn’t very good.
If water-coal slurry gasification is used, it can be directly pumped to the coal slurry preparation unit using a slurry pump for recycling
I need to know what type of filter press you are using; take a photo and show it to me. For producing sulfur foam, a plate and frame filter press is a better choice. A 200-mesh filter cloth is sufficient. For a foam pump, choosing one with a head of around 50 meters is sufficient. You have provided too little information; it’s difficult to make a judgment, so I can’t offer you a detailed solution.
What does it mean that the sulfur melting tank has difficulty melting sulfur? Is it a continuous sulfur melting kettle? I converted three consecutive reactors into intermittent sulfur melting reactors, and the results were fairly good. Please describe the question in more detail.
It is recommended to seek help from the technical staff of the equipment manufacturer; if that doesn’t work, you can turn to me
It is recommended to design an acid production system in which sulfur foam and waste liquids with high salt content are used together to produce acid.
