Looking at the information available on forums regarding gasification, much of it dates back to 10 years ago; there is very little relevant material from recent years. Currently, there are several large-scale enterprises in China engaged in research on powder coal gasification, such as Dongfang, Huayi, Shenning, and Aerospace Furnace, and their processes vary as well. Those who are interested in this topic are encouraged to share more updates on it!
It’s been 10 years, and there’s hardly been any significant progress; the processes are still based on various adaptations from others
As a new technology developed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the atmospheric pressure circulating fluidized bed has seen significant progress in recent years; it has replaced traditional fixed-bed gas generation methods without altering the subsequent processing steps. It offers advantages such as a high gas production capacity per furnace, simple operation, and low investment costs. Companies interested in this technology should take a closer look at it
Circulating fluidized beds are suitable for industrial gas applications, and they offer significant advantages for the upgrading of small and medium-sized fixed-bed nitrogen fertilizer plants. As for new projects, further verification is needed; energy consumption in the subsequent systems is a major issue
