On March 11, Jineng Holding Equipment Manufacturing Group and Saiding Engineering Co., Ltd. had in-depth discussions regarding the visualization implementation plan for the optimization and upgrading of JM-S furnaces. Saiding Company presented the visualization scheme for the JM-S furnace as well as the preliminary plan for establishing a research platform for pressurized gasification of bituminous coal. The attendees had in-depth discussions on these plans. The meeting concluded that the preliminary visualization plan for the JM-S furnace is feasible, and this will hold significant strategic importance for the subsequent upgrading and optimization of the JM-S furnace as well as for the sustainable development of the coal chemical industry within Jinneng Holding Group. The meeting emphasized the need to thoroughly prepare a visualization plan for the JM-S furnace and ensure its smooth implementation. By combining experimental data with engineering data, research should be carried out on flow field simulation, the development of gasification models, precise control of raw materials, and intelligent control systems, in order to promote the optimization and upgrading of the JM-S furnace as well as its intelligent control capabilities. Meanwhile, during the process of formulating and implementing this plan, it is essential to take into account the overall coordination of the project and the safety aspects of its execution. Safety standards must be strictly adhered to, and safety measures strengthened, so as to provide a solid safety foundation for the long-term stable operation of the JM-S furnace and for process optimization, thereby facilitating its comprehensive optimization and upgrading. “The JM-S furnace demonstration project: It is understood that the JM-S furnace, jointly developed and designed by Jinneng Equipment and CDI of China National Chemical Engineering Group, was successfully commissioned in one go at its Tianqing Chemical Company, providing a new technical model that can serve as a reference for the transformation and upgrading of the traditional coal chemical industry. The JM-S furnace is an upgraded version of the coal pulverization pressurized gasification technology. Through comprehensive optimization of the furnace structure and the process flow, as well as systematic upgrades, it effectively addresses various issues associated with this technology, such as low steam utilization efficiency and uneven gasification temperature distribution. It offers various advantages, including low renovation costs, reduced coal consumption, high gas production, and low operational and maintenance expenses. When operating at full capacity, the cost per ton of synthetic ammonia can be reduced by about 200 yuan, while the annual production costs for a single furnace can be cut by 30 million yuan. The Jinneng Holding Equipment Manufacturing Group, in collaboration with Saiding Engineering Company of China National Chemical Corporation, Xi’an Sixth Academy of Aerospace Technology of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, and Shanghai Binen Technology Company, has developed three large-scale pressurized gasification processes for anthracite (crushed coal) in Jincheng – the JM-S furnace, JM-H furnace, and JM-L furnace. These processes take into account the specific characteristics of this type of coal, and they enable full domestic production of the relevant technology, with complete independent intellectual property rights.
