The syngas from the pulverized coal gasifier contains ash; under the same coal quality, the amount of ash can vary, leading to ash accumulation and blockages in the syngas pipelines. Is it that a high operating temperature in the gasifier makes it prone to ash carryover, or is it that a low syngas temperature makes it prone to ash carryover?
Temperature is one factor; I believe it’s also affected by the amount of small particles in the raw coal, the chemical reactivity of the raw materials, and the atomization process in the burner
