Shaanxi Chemical Group’s refractory brick gasifier is being replaced with a Jinhua-type gasifier, resulting in annual economic savings of tens of millions. Author/Source: Jinhua-Type Gasifier. Date: 2021-08-12. Clicks: 17. The project to replace the refractory brick gasifier at Shaanxi Chemical Coal Chemical Group Co., Ltd. is nearing completion; the internal components of the gasifier have already been installed and are now being assembled and welded together. Shaanxi Huahua Coal Chemical Group Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shaanxi Coal Group’s chemical division, and it is a nitrogen fertilizer production facility in China equipped with modern facilities and employing cutting-edge technology. The main facilities have an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 1 million tons of urea, 250,000 tons of phosphate ammonium, 130,000 tons of 1,4-butanediol, and 46,000 tons of poly**furan. The ammonia and urea production plants were put into operation in 2012; the gasification units utilize water-coal slurry refractory brick technology, with four furnaces in operation and one as a backup. In 2020, the company launched a project to improve the efficiency of ammonia synthesis, which included upgrading the gasification furnaces. This time, Furnace D was upgraded using Jinhua furnace technology; the existing refractory brick-based coal water slurry gasification furnace was transformed into a water-cooled wall coal water slurry gasification furnace. As a result of this upgrade, the continuous operating time of the gasification furnace increased from over 60 days to more than 120 days. Additionally, the cost associated with replacing refractory bricks was eliminated, with annual economic benefits estimated at over 10 million yuan.
Has the inner diameter of the furnace decreased after the modification, and has there been a significant change in the coal feeding rate? How wide is the maintenance space on the back side of the water wall?
