It was recently learned that the 150,000-ton per year project by Inner Mongolia Qinghua Group to produce LNG from coke oven gas has been making steady progress since its launch in October 2024. The construction site is busy yet orderly, with equipment being installed in an organized manner. Work on installing piping for the equipment is in progress. Currently, the overall progress is 70%. According to a report from Qinghua Wustai Energy in August, experienced technical personnel were assigned by the instrumentation workshop to supervise and guide the installation of instruments. To date, the installation work for the instrumentation equipment has completed its phased tasks. Next, the instrument workshop will simultaneously carry out subsequent tasks such as instrument calibration and circuit testing, to provide solid instrument support for the smooth commissioning of the project. Inner Mongolia Qinghua Group’s 150,000-ton per year LNG production project utilizes the coking industry infrastructure available in the Qinghua Circular Economy Industrial Park within the Alxa High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. By integrating the 100,000 cubic meters per hour of coke oven gas available in the park, this project produces LNG using a liquid nitrogen washing process. The project to produce LNG from 150,000 tons of coke oven gas is not only a proactive response to the \"dual carbon\" goals but also a key measure for Inner Mongolia Qinghua Group to transition from traditional coking operations to high-end energy and chemical manufacturing. Through technological upgrades, the project will help reduce energy consumption and improve environmental performance in the Wusitai industrial park, thereby contributing to the development of a robust regional circular economy industry chain. Upon completion, the 150,000-ton per year project for producing LNG from coking gas will build on the coking industry infrastructure available in the Qinghua Circular Economy Industrial Park within the Alxa High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. By integrating the 100,000 cubic meters per hour of coking gas available in the park, this project will use liquid nitrogen washing technology to produce LNG, thereby achieving efficient utilization of resources and the extension of the industrial chain. At present, the 150,000-ton coke oven gas-to-LNG project has completed 70% of its overall schedule; the equipment is being installed in an orderly manner, and work on piping the installations is currently being accelerated.
