Recently, reporters learned from Shanxi Pingyao No.1 Coal Coking Co., Ltd. that the first phase of its 6.25-meter rammed coke coking upgrading project, located within the Pingyao Coal Chemical Group industrial park, has been completed and put into operation. This key project, with a total investment of around 4 billion yuan, was designed by MCC Coking & Refractory, the largest coking design and research institution in China. It will be constructed in two phases, with an approved production capacity of 1.94 million tons per year. In the first phase of the project, a coking plant with 2*62 units (JNDX3-6.25-11D type single-heating ramming coke ovens) and an annual production capacity of 1.34 million tons is being built. This plant is equipped with a coal preparation system, a coke processing system, a gas purification system, an LNG production facility using coke oven gas, an 110kV substation, a sewage treatment system, a system for producing acid from sulfur foam and waste liquids, as well as various auxiliary facilities. Its production capacity, intelligent equipment, process technology, environmental management, energy efficiency, water consumption, and other indicators all meet or exceed industry standards, achieving the design goals of \"first-class design, first-class processes, first-class equipment, first-class environmental protection, and first-class management\". Adjacent to the west side of Phase 1, Phase 2 is being carried out as planned. Its coke ovens are arranged on the same axis as those in Phase I; it features 1*54 coke ovens of the JNDX3-6.25-11D type (single-heating type tamped coke ovens) with an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons, along with the associated core facilities for these ovens. A coal preparation system and a coke treatment system are also in place, in addition to coking facilities, dry quenching units, some gas purification equipment, as well as environmental protection facilities such as flue gas desulfurization and denitrification systems, along with other auxiliary facilities. Upon completion of the entire project, it will be capable of producing 1.94 million tons of coke per year, 118,000 tons of tar, 28,000 tons of crude benzene, 22,000 tons of sulfuric acid, 21,700 tons of ammonium sulfate, 2,480 tons of sodium chloride, 2,700 tons of sodium sulfate, and 170,700 tons of LNG, as well as generating 238 million kWh of electricity ; Each year, it is possible to reduce smoke and dust emissions by 2,500 tons, sulfur dioxide emissions by 2,400 tons, and nitrogen oxide emissions by 735 tons, resulting in a decrease in the total amount of air pollutants emitted. At the same time, the project will create over 1,000 job opportunities and address the issue of winter central heating for more than 50,000 households covering an area of 5 million square meters. The implementation of the project can achieve a win-win outcome in terms of the development of the county economy, the well-being of residents, and the improvement of environmental quality.
