At 9:18 on February 3, the No. 1 coke oven of the Pingxiang Xuyang Coking Project was officially ignited for heating up. This is another key milestone achieved by the project following the successful commissioning of Coke Oven No. 2, marking an important step forward toward achieving the project’s production target. At the site of Coke Oven No. 1, the company’s relevant responsible persons, as well as the head of the Engineering Management Department and the Production Technology Department, were present throughout the process to oversee and coordinate the ignition operations. They carefully inspected the operating condition of the ignition equipment, thoroughly reviewed the furnace drying plan, temperature control curves, and safety protocols with the technical staff, and based on the experience gained from drying Furnace No. 2, they made targeted arrangements for key aspects such as thermal management, equipment monitoring, and safety and environmental protection during this furnace drying process. It is reported that this furnace heating process will last 65 days. During this period, the coke oven is brought to its optimal operating condition by precisely controlling the heating process. Pingxiang Xuyang Energy Company will draw fully on the successful experience gained from Blast Furnace No. 2, and implement the furnace drying procedures with higher standards and stricter requirements. By strengthening oversight throughout the entire process, it will ensure that the furnace drying process for Blast Furnace No. 1 is precise and controllable, as well as safe, thus laying a solid foundation for the smooth loading of coal and the commencement of operations, and helping to achieve full production capacity for the project at an early date.
