Shaanxi Yueneng Chemical’s Kolin gasifier has achieved 200 days of continuous and stable operation

According to Shaanxi Yueneng Chemical, as of February 6, 2026, the Series 2 gasifiers at the syngas plant have been operating continuously, safely and stably for 200 days, setting a new record for the longest operational period since the plant began operation. Yuneng Chemical uses Corin powder gasification (2 Corin gasifiers), two-stage isothermal shift, desulfurization and decarburization, deep cryogenic separation plus PSA for hydrogen production, as well as Sinochem Far East’s ethylene glycol technology, to produce 400,000 tons of ethylene glycol per year. Construction on the project began in April 2022. By December 2023, the main construction work and all associated environmental protection facilities were completed. Production testing began in February 2024. Environmental protection acceptance completed in June 2024.
