On November 22, the preliminary design plan for the Jinhang Furnace pilot project was approved, marking the completion of a key phase in the research and development of this pilot technology; the next step will be to proceed with the actual implementation of the project. The review meeting for the preliminary design plan of the Jinhang furnace pilot project was held by Xi’an Aerospace Power Engineering Co., Ltd. Experts in coal chemical engineering and coal gasification from organizations such as Jinmei Group listened carefully to the presentation made by the project team, discussed and raised questions in detail regarding the preliminary design plan, and ultimately agreed unanimously that the plan passed the review. At the same time, the expert group requested that the R&D team further refine the basic design parameters based on coal quality data, conduct thorough validation of key technologies, ensure that the design and selection of core equipment meet production requirements, make certain process flows mature and reliable, and carry out comprehensive safety assessments and progress control for the project. It is understood that the Jinhang furnace was developed jointly by Jinmei Group and Aerospace Yuandongli Company of the Sixth Academy of Aerospace, with the implementation site being the Jinfeng Wenxi branch in Shanxi. Its purpose is to address the issues associated with traditional UGI technology, such as high pollution levels, high energy consumption, and a high methane content in the syngas produced by pressurized fixed-bed reactors.
Is it an improvement on the prototype of the space furnace?
