I would like to ask everyone how many ways there are to adjust the pressure in the methanol synthesis section. Our company uses the British DAVY synthesis process, and now the company requires that the pressure be adjusted by our purification unit. Is it possible to do this only by adjusting the composition of the syngas? Can the synthesis segment be adjusted? Is it easy to adjust?
The pressure can be controlled by a valve synthesized through purification. The syngas compressor can also be controlled.
We also use David’s model, with the pressure being controlled synthetically. Do you have a compressor for purifying gas and carrying out synthesis? If so, the pressure is controlled by purification.
Here, we’re not allowed to make any changes anywhere; we can only adjust carbon dioxide levels through purification. I don’t quite understand the process of synthesis, and I’m puzzled as to why the pressure related to synthesis can only be adjusted through purification. I think the synthesis process itself could also be adjusted appropriately
Our syngas compressor is under synthesis, but there’s no possibility for suction regulation; we can only adjust the pressure by purifying and regulating the carbon dioxide level. I find that quite strange
What I understand is that the components used in methanol synthesis need to be purified and adjusted. Of course, the CO2 content has a certain impact on the pressure in the synthesis system, but not a very significant one. If it’s necessary to make substantial adjustments to the system pressure, wouldn’t adjusting the compressor’s speed or using a surge valve suffice?
The company won’t allow any changes to the synthesis process; haha, there’s nothing that can be done about it
It’s possible; the manager is worried about waste, and fluctuations in pressure make it even harder to regulate carbon dioxide levels
We all use synthetic pressure control, which is adjusted through the vent valve after the separator
The synthetic compressor can be adjusted, and the top of the separator can also be adjusted
Once the gas composition is determined, the synthesis pressure can be adjusted by the synthesis section through vent gas and bypass routes involving the compressor and circulation section; If adjusting the synthesis pressure is done by modifying the gas composition, then it should be you who handle it.
