How is the semi-poor methanol in the Luchi scrubber adjusted according to the load?
A German expert from Luchi came to our factory for guidance and said that it’s actually possible to omit the use of this semi-poor liquid. However, after our factory underwent expansion and renovation, the flow rate of the methanol-poor pump became insufficient to meet the requirements for the purified gas; therefore, it’s necessary to use the semi-poor liquid pump. Perhaps the absorption efficiency is not as good with this semi-poor liquid, but the CO2 level in the fresh gas is easier to control. So far, no adverse effects have been observed
It is necessary to find the right settings gradually, based on the absorption effect and system temperature.
