What other reasons, besides excessive iron content, can cause formaldehyde to turn yellow?
The excessive formaldehyde coloration is mainly due to high iron content; since we adopted a 304 material-based absorption system as well as 304 storage tanks, there has been no occurrence of excessive formaldehyde coloration.
It is possible that the concentration of trivalent iron ions in the formaldehyde is high; check whether the materials used in the absorption tower and reactor are stainless steel, especially those used for fixing the tray plates in the absorption tower
