It was my first time coming into contact with the conversion of natural gas using pure oxygen without a catalyst. I heard that there is a process for converting coke oven gas using pure oxygen without a catalyst at Yinchuan Baofeng, but I have never seen it in person. I wonder if there are any experienced experts on this forum who could explain the process of adding oxygen. Let me first introduce the process scheme I have come into contact with. After desulfurization with natural gas and zinc oxide, the mixture is sent to the conversion furnace; the furnace is heated to 1100 degrees using natural gas burners, after which pure oxygen burners are used. I estimate that this process takes about one to two hours. Oxygen is then added automatically through logical control, while the amount of natural gas used in the initial stage needs to be controlled manually. The negative pressure in the furnace is controlled by a steam extractor, in the same way as the negative pressure control in the gasification furnace.
