Regarding the process packages, companies such as Zhejiang Xinhua, Topsoe, and Lurgi each have their own process packages for methanol production, and several domestic companies also have their own process packages. What are the requirements for preparing a process package?
With the technical sources in place, the most important requirement for preparing a process package is to determine the basic design data: scale, annual operating hours, raw material specifications, product specifications, utility specifications, local gas phase conditions, accompanying infrastructure, as well as any other requirements from the client, and so on
Our company is also preparing process packages for projects such as methanol and formaldehyde.
The most important things are to have a complete set of documents including PFD and PID diagrams, flow data sheets, material/energy balance sheets, and process descriptions – these form the basis for preparing the process package. The remaining sections can be prepared according to the scope and depth requirements specified for the process package; it’s advisable to discuss the required depth of preparation with the design institute in advance, as the process package will ultimately need to be implemented through engineering design by that institute.
