Our company has idle spherical tanks for liquefied gas, which are intended to be used for storing dimethyl ether. The saturated vapor pressure of dimethyl ether is lower than that of liquefied petroleum gas, so there should be no safety issues. But the safety supervision bureau did not allow it, stating that a certification document from the design institute was required before approval could be given. Is this really necessary? Will the design institute provide a certification document?
It is possible, but the design institute must issue a change document.
