Recently, the steam turbine used in the propylene refrigeration compressor for Jutai Energy (Jungar)’s 600,000 tons per year olefins production project was successfully tested individually. The MTO Department, in collaboration with the construction unit, the Production Management Department, the Safety and Environmental Protection Department, etc., carries out individual unit testing on the steam turbine of the propylene refrigeration compressor. To ensure the smooth progress of commissioning, various departments formed a commissioning team. Throughout the entire commissioning process, with the support of the manufacturer, the members of this team as well as different specialists maintained active communication and cooperation with each other to ensure the smooth commissioning of the turbine. After more than 4 hours of operation, the unit’s vibration, displacement, bearing temperature and other parameters were all within acceptable limits, fulfilling the objectives of single-unit testing and laying a foundation for subsequent system debugging. The methanol deep processing project of Jutai Energy (Zhungeer) Co., Ltd. began construction in 2013, with an intended investment of 8.28 billion yuan. The project utilizes UOP’s technology for producing low-carbon olefins from methanol, KBR’s pre-propanation separation technology, and Dow Chemical’s UNIPOL polypropylene technology; it is expected to generate annual profits and taxes of 2.5 billion yuan once operational. Under the plan to produce 600,000 tons of olefins from 1.8 million tons of methanol, the annual production capacity is set at 280,000 tons of polyethylene, 320,000 tons of polypropylene, 80,000 tons of butadiene, 25,000 tons of butene-1, 6,000 tons of MTBE, 60,000 tons of petroleum products and liquefied petroleum gas, and 80,000 tons of styrene-butadiene rubber. Jutai Energy (Zhungeer) Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Jutai Energy Inner Mongolia Co., Ltd. To date, the Jutai Group has established four coal chemical projects in Inner Mongolia: one project operated by Jutai Energy Inner Mongolia Co., Ltd. that produces 1 million tons of methanol and 100,000 tons of dimethyl ether, and which began operations in 2010 ； Jiutai Energy (Ordos) Co., Ltd.’s 500,000-ton ethylene glycol project (200,000 tons in the first phase) ； Jiutai Energy (Zhungeer) Co., Ltd.’s 600,000-ton peroxide project, as well as Inner Mongolia Jiutai New Materials Co., Ltd.’s 1 million-ton ethylene glycol and 1.8 million-ton PTA projects.
