Author/Source: Date: 2019-03-14 Clicks: 6 On the morning of March 10, work began on Section A of the installation project for the gasification unit as part of the first phase of the Shenhua Yulin Circular Economy Coal Comprehensive Utilization Project, which is being constructed by the Inner Mongolia branch. Luo Xiao, the person in charge of the gasification project at Shenhua Yulin Energy Chemical Co., Ltd., Lu Feng, the project leader from China Tianchen Engineering Co., Ltd., Qiu Shu, the director of Beijing Bipaike Supervision Co., Ltd., and Zhao Liang, the manager of the Inner Mongolia branch, attended the inauguration ceremony. Following the commencement of construction on the air separation unit for this project in July 2018, the Inner Mongolia branch won bids for the gasification unit and methanol unit of the same project one after another. The contract value for the gasification plant is 80.12 million yuan, with the completion date set for May 30, 2020. Gasification units require a high level of technical expertise and present significant construction challenges. Adopt the GE large-quench high-efficiency water-coal slurry gasification technology to promote the clean, comprehensive, and efficient utilization of coal. The project involves the design of 5 gasifiers in a single series, each with a coal feeding rate of 3,100 tons per day on a dry basis, using a slurry-cooled gasification process. The pressure level is 6.5 MPa. The facility is equipped to produce 1.8 million tons of methanol per year (for olefin production), 400,000 tons of ethylene glycol per year, as well as other high-value downstream products.
