From March 14 to 19, 2019, a technical briefing session on the gasification unit for the Sunchon Chemical Plant in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea was held at that plant. A group of 7 people from Liaoning Chemical Import and Export Trade Company, China Chemical Saiding Engineering Co., Ltd., and Beijing Qingchuang Jinhua Technology Co., Ltd. attended the meeting. Technical details were provided regarding areas such as processes, automatic control systems, civil engineering, and piping. By gaining a thorough understanding of the on-site construction conditions, all parties had lively discussions on technical issues and construction considerations, laying a foundation for the smooth progress of the project in the future. Current project progress: Construction is underway on the main framework for gasification, coal slurry preparation, sedimentation tanks, and other essential components, with all tasks being carried out in an orderly manner. The 200,000 tons per year methanol production facility at the Sunchon Chemical Plant in North Korea uses a gasification unit based on the water-cooled wall direct-connected waste boiler gasifier technology (Jinhua Furnace 3.0) developed by Beijing Qingchuang Jinhua Technology Co., Ltd.; the construction of this facility takes place in Sunchon, North Korea. China Chemical Saiding Engineering Co., Ltd. is responsible for the engineering design. The gasifier for Shanxi Yangmei Chemical Machinery has been manufactured and is ready for shipment.
