Baotailong (601011) announced in a post-market statement on November 14 that, as of November 12, the light hydrocarbon production unit of its aforementioned project had begun producing products. Based on preliminary testing, the product parameters generally meet the expected standards, and this production section has officially entered the trial production phase. In addition, the company has signed a purchase and sale contract with Panjin Xinrun Petrochemical Co., Ltd.; it plans to sell 200 tons of light hydrocarbon products to this company in November, at market prices. Baotailong stated that the project for producing 300,000 tons of stable light hydrocarbons from coke (as part of the transformation and upgrading initiative) is one of the projects funded through private offerings made by the company in 2015 and 2017. The stable light hydrocarbons produced can be used not only as additives in high-purity gasoline but also as raw materials for the chemical industry. With the completion of this project, the company’s main product portfolio has been adjusted, enabling a transition from traditional coal-based chemical products to modern, new types of coal-based petrochemical and clean energy products. This helps to optimize the company’s product structure, expand its business scale, create new sources of profit growth, and enhance its core competitiveness.
