On February 26, 2020, Rongxin Chemical held a ceremony for the sale of ethylene glycol, marking a complete shift from \"capital construction\" to \"production and operation\" for its second-phase project, and making it Yankuang Group’s first supplier of ethylene glycol. At the sales ceremony, the officials from Nenghua Company and Rongxin Chemical cut the ribbon to mark the release of the first batch of ethylene glycol produced. The first batch, amounting to 1,000 tons of polyester-grade ethylene glycol, was all sold to the Tongyang area in Zhejiang Province. The sales of ethylene glycol products by Rongxin Chemical play a positive role in helping the group company’s coal chemical industry to diversify its product portfolio, cope with market risks, facilitate the transition to new forms of growth momentum, and achieve high-quality development. It is understood that the second phase of the Rongxin Chemicals project was constructed using a phased EPC approach. With its advanced design, thorough planning, and meticulous management, the project saw the completion of tasks such as civil construction, equipment installation, and unit testing within 23 months, setting a new record for the construction of coal chemical projects of similar scale. On December 28, 2019, the ethylene glycol plant achieved successful commissioning on the first attempt, producing qualified products; this marked a new record for domestic ethylene glycol plants – the shortest time required for successful operation during the harsh cold seasons in the north, as well as the fastest time to produce qualified products on the first try. Especially since this Spring Festival, in order to further improve various process parameters and operating conditions related to ethylene glycol, Rongxin Chemical has, despite the dual pressures of epidemic prevention and control as well as safe production, overcome difficulties such as a limited workforce and numerous complex tasks. By focusing on both epidemic prevention and control as well as the orderly return of employees to work, and at the same time ensuring safe production in the first phase and optimizing the process parameters in the second phase, the company has taken more effective measures and adopted a practical approach to manage various aspects including epidemic prevention, safety and environmental protection, production operations, system maintenance, business management, and staff training, thus laying a foundation for the smooth sales of ethylene glycol.
